How it works
From footage to first-draft screenplay.
FrameToPage combines audio transcription, visual analysis, and screenplay formatting to produce editable files. The result is a draft for review, not a final authority.
Processing steps
- Prepare the video. We extract audio and collect basic timing information.
- Transcribe dialogue. We listen for spoken lines and speaker changes.
- Identify likely speakers. When enabled, FrameToPage groups dialogue by likely speaker so the draft is easier to revise.
- Watch the footage. We look for scene changes, visible text, action, and other context that helps the script read like a screenplay.
- Write the screenplay draft. We combine the transcript and visual notes into screenplay structure.
- Format downloads. We generate PDF, Fountain, Final Draft, and plain-text files.
Privacy and access
- Cloud processing
- Hosted jobs run in the cloud on trusted third-party infrastructure. Your video, transcript, sampled frames, and generated files are used solely to produce your screenplay.
- No training use
- We do not use your footage, transcripts, or generated screenplay files to train AI systems.
- Retention and deletion
- Your private job link opens the result page for seven days. You can delete the job and its uploaded/generated files anytime from the job page.
- Sharing
- If you create a share link, that link is separate from your private job link and can have its own passphrase and expiration.
What to expect
Clear audio and clean edits produce better results. Long clips can take several minutes, and transcription is often the slowest step.
Always review the draft: AI can mishear lines, merge speakers, miss a visual beat, or over-describe action.
